Lean Body Mass vs. Fat-Free Mass
Though often used interchangeably, lean body mass (LBM) and fat-free mass (FFM) are not identical.
- Lean Body Mass (LBM) includes bones, muscles, water, ligaments, tendons, internal organs, and essential fat within organs. However, it does not include subcutaneous fat.
